Women and men who struggle with the look of dark spots or sun damage on their skin might be ideal candidates for intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy at Washington Skin Solutions. A photofacial with IPL is a skin treatment for facial and neck pigmentation issues. Nikki Brueggemann uses intense wavelengths of light to stimulate the natural healing process and increase collagen production. In time, you should begin to notice a healthier complexion, an improved tone, and decreased areas of hyperpigmentation. Although a photofacial is a noninvasive treatment option, it can be very effective and can create great results for your complexion. Our team employs the Harmony XL PRO laser from Alma to carry out IPL skin treatments and can provide a skin assessment to determine if this solution can help renew your skin.

Visible improvements can be noticed following each treatment with Harmony XL PRO IPL technology, but optimal results are apparent about four months after your last treatment. It’s normal for your skin to see different responses following each treatment session. You may experience mild side effects, like temporary swelling, redness, blisters, bruising, or crusting. However, this should go away within a few days after the procedure. Your skin will be sun-sensitive, and you should keep in mind that sun exposure can impact the results of the procedure. We also require using sunscreen to protect your skin and help prevent skin issues, including redness and sun spots.

I am posting on my husbands Google account because I do not do social media but I wanted to give Nikki a review. Nikki and her staff are wonderful and professional. I have had several different treatments done by Nikki and have always been extremely happy with the results. Nikki is knowledgeable about the products that she sells and the procedures that she performs, and she takes great care to maintain a very clean and safe environment at her med spa. I will continue to go to Nikki for skin care procedures and I recommend it to anyone looking for the services she provides.

I had a consultation with Nikki today for skin care.  Very clean environment. Staff professional and very caring for my health safety following Covid protocol. A few skin care suggestions. Nothing pushy at all. I left making my next apt and look forward to successful results. Vicki

About Us
What are the possible side effects of an IPL photofacial with Harmony XL PRO?

It's common to experience mild side effects like temporary redness, swelling, bruising, blisters, or crusting. These should go away on their own in a few days. You will be sensitive to the sun and should remember that damaging UV rays will negatively impact the procedure's results. Whenever you go outside, you should always wear sunscreen to protect your skin and avoid problems like redness and spots.

How should I prepare for an IPL photofacial at Washington Skin Solutions?

To prepare for an IPL treatment, patients are asked to skip self-tanners and excessive sun for at least 2 – 4 weeks before their treatment. You may be asked to stop using certain medications several days before your appointment. You may want to start taking aspirin or ibuprofen 5 – 7 days before your appointment to decrease your risk of bruising. You must also protect the treated areas with sunscreen since your skin will be extra sensitive.

Why should I get multiple IPL sessions?

We recommend getting a series of Harmony XL PRO IPL treatments to deliver natural-looking improvements to your complexion. Every session helps to diminish surface irregularities and spots. Several sessions should also produce longer-lasting improvements.
